GRANITE_BALL_PYTHON

Granite Ball PythonScientific Name: Python regius
Common Name:
Ball Python
Morph:
Granite
Genetics: Color / Pattern Mutation - Dominant as of 2003 ( RDR Line )

These are very pretty ball pythons. These snakes are patterned fairly normal.........but where the "alien heads" would be.......in those areas........the pattern is speckled and peppered with little black patches and flecks. It gives the ball python a whole new look. They also seem to have that plain rusty colored head thing going on like most aberrant ball pythons. I have a group of these "Granites" to work with..........time will tell if these pretty ball pythons can be duplicated. If they are genetic......maybe "selective breeding" the best ones back to each other will produce a true "Granite"........"Cinnamon" is the first thing I think of when I look at these beauties.............

~~ Update ~~ I did produce a clutch of eggs from my best Granite female in 2003..............out of four eggs..........there were three incredible baby Granites................so I would say that this is a dominant gene as of now.............maybe there will be a SUPER??
