Genetic Morph: Ghost / Hypo

Appears as a frosted, light hypomelanistic animal without any of the “normal” ball python pigmentation; Ghosts lack the typical brown, black and yellows. An unusual characteristic of this morph is the lack of patterning left behind on the animal's shed skin - he shed appears as if it came from a non-patterned animal. We work with three phases of this mutation: Green, Orange and Blonde; all are compatible within our group. We have learned the hard way that not all Ghosst are compatible, by breeding two Ghosts together and failing to hatch out Ghosts when we used a new bloodline. The Ghost is another morph that will lend its attributes to refining other traits. One example of this is the Caramel Glow ball – a double-recessive cross between Orange Ghost & Caramel Albino ball pythons.
