Rat breeder racks
This is a good pic ( above ) of two breeder racks side by side.........this is where it all happens!!!......There is 1.6 adult rats in these tubs at all times making me baby rats!!!

You can see the water buckets above and the water lines feeding to all the brass sippers.........
I prefer to use pine wood chips as rat bedding.........it smells nice ........there are many other types of bedding to use..........just do not use cedar chips........this can cause resp. problems in you rodent colony......
Rat holding bins
This is a pic ( above ) of the holding tub rack and one of the other "birthing racks".......I keep my bedding and block food in trash cans with lids for easy access.......the ladder is for me to reach the water buckets up top, reaching the higher tubs to clean and to reach the fan controls in the ceiling.........
Birthing mom racks
A pic ( above ) of two "birthing racks" side by side in the rat room........this system makes use of every inch of space possible.........the racks make keeping a large group of rodents a "snap"........these racks pictured are more commonly used for breeding mice..............they work perfect for both.........breeding mice and birthing mom rats...............
Birthing mom racks
The "birthing racks" ( above )......they each hold 50 tubs..........all are always filled with prego mom's..........avearge litter size is 15.............do the math on that one.........this system always looks clean and organized..........I like that a lot!!
